Cocktails & Dinner Auction Fundraiser
Delancey's, Goshen, NY
July 25, 2009
Hailey’s Hope Foundation held its Cocktails & Dinner Fundraiser on July 25, 2009 at Delancey’s restaurant in Goshen, New York. Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, exciting raffles and great music. The event raised over $5,000.00 to help fund our Financial Support Program (FSP), which provides financial assistance to NICU families in need at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (Westchester Medical Center) in Valhalla, New York.
The event drew a great, fun crowd. One of the many highlights of the night was the attendance by Mr. Edward A. Diana, the Executive of Orange County, NY. Mr. Diana, who has a personal connection with prematurity and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), said he wanted to come out to show his support and praised the work we were doing for NICU families.
We are very grateful for the generous support of our in-kind donors: Sharp Electronics Corporation, The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge, American Girl, Dangerfield’s Comedy Club, Subtle Energies Holistic Health Center, Big Apple Circus, Select Express & Logistics Courier Service, ShopRite and Home Depot. Also, we extend a special thank you to Joe Betro and Delancey’s for the venue, great food and service.

First Annual Cocktail Reception
Whitby Castle, Rye, NY
APRIL 25, 2009
Hailey’s Hope Foundation held its First Annual Cocktail Reception Fundraiser on April 25, 2009 at Whitby Castle in Rye. The event was a huge success! We raised over $34,000.00 to help fund our Financial Support Program (FSP), which provides financial assistance to NICU families in need at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (Westchester Medical Center) in Valhalla, New York.
On a picture-perfect night, nearly 100 guests came out to join us for cocktails, food and fun. Our fabulous raffles filled the room with laughter and hilarious outbursts. During the evening, guests were given a glimpse into the NICU experience with an emotional photo slideshow and presentation. Our guest speaker, Dr. Edmund La Gamma, Chief of Newborn Medicine at MFCH, also highlighted the dire needs of NICU parents and complimented the positive impact our FSP has made on these families and the exposure we are bringing to a significant need unknown to many.
Reckson, a division of SL Green, and Omtool, Ltd., sponsored the event. In-kind sponsors included Sharp, Tiffany & Co., Thule, Inc., Frederic Fekkai Salon in New York City, and the Wechsler family. We are grateful for the generous support of these sponsors.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity, Hailey’s Hope Foundation is dedicated to helping families in need who have premature and seriously ill babies hospitalized in the NICU. Since December 2007, our Foundation has helped over 120 families at MFCH pay for essential non-medical expenses, such as hotel lodging, transportation, food and hospital parking. All of our eight members know from personal experience how frightening and stressful a NICU hospitalization can be, and we feel blessed to be able to help these families through this difficult time. RNC 26th Annual NICU Graduation Party On September 17, 2008, the Regional Neonatal Center at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital held its 26th Annual Graduate Reunion Party to celebrate their “graduates” and families. There was delicious food, music, clowns, moon bouncers, and other fun activities for all to enjoy. Hailey’s Hope was proud to contribute a “sweet treat” to this event by sponsoring a Mr. Softee Ice Cream Truck.
Smiles, laughter, hugs and tears filled this gorgeous fall day. Parents reunited with NICU doctors, nurses and other “graduate” families and shared their stories of survival and success. Members of Hailey’s Hope had the fortunate pleasure to meet many of these families and exchange heartfelt stories. Hailey’s Hope was honored to be a part of this incredibly exciting and special day.
