Who We Are
Hailey’s Hope Foundation, established in December 2007, consists of several parents and grandparents who lived through eight frightening NICU experiences and the tragic loss of a baby. We know what it is like to bond with our babies through isolettes, navigating wires, monitors and feeding lines to embrace them, to hear the heart-stopping alarms and to end each visit with a kiss and tearful goodbye. Juggling home-life, daycare, work and numerous hospital visits became our daily routine, as well as managing the overwhelming expenses associated with each NICU stay.
We have had babies born as early as 28 weeks at 2.8 pounds, as well as babies born with collapsed lungs and other serious complications. We have also suffered through the birth and death of our 12 oz. baby girl, Hailey.
Each of our families brings a different experience and perspective to the foundation, yet we have a significant common thread: we watched helplessly as our babies struggled to survive. We often reflect on their fragile
beginnings and will never forget those who helped and supported our families. Hailey’s Hope Foundation is our way to honor our children, especially Hailey Zion, and to give back to others for all that we have received.
