Early Intervention Program (State of New York)

Through the New York Department of Health’s Bureau of Early Intervention, the State of New York offers a variety of therapeutic and support services to eligible infants and toddlers with disabilities under age 3 and their families through its Early Intervention Program.   Its mission is to identify and evaluate as early as possible those infants and toddlers whose healthy development is compromised and provide for appropriate intervention to improve child and family development.  To find your local, municipal Early Intervention Officer, please visit http://www.health.ny.gov/community/infants_children/early_intervention/county_eip.htm.

Early Intervention Program and Child Find/ICHAP (Orange County, New York)

In addition to Early Intervention Services, the Orange County Department of Health offers intervention services through its Child Find/ICHAP Program for children under age 3.  Child Find/ICHAP is designed to identify and monitor those children at risk for developmental delay but who do not qualify for Early Intervention services.
