CELEBRATING 10 YEARS SUPPORTING NICU FAMILIES

(Goshen, NY—September 10, 2018)  2018 marks a very special year for Hailey’s Hope Foundation (HHF). It is HHF’S 10-year anniversary supporting NICU families. HHF proudly celebrated this milestone with supporters at its Annual Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, September 8th at Otterkill Golf & Country Club in Campbell Hall, New York.

The guests, delicious food, cocktails and music made for a truly memorable evening. HHF was honored to have guest speakers, Debra and Anthony Schifano, share their difficult NICU journey for over 100 days with their premature triplets at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Thanks to the generosity of the event sponsors, including Platinum SponsorSHARP Electronics Corporation; Gold SponsorOrange Regional Medical Center; Silver SponsorSharp Business Systems; Dessert SponsorsOrange Bank & Trust Company, GEICO, and Armistead Mechanical Inc.; Signature Drink SponsorDeBellis & Associates; and Guest Gift SponsorLoren and Joseph Monti, as well as the auction and raffle donors and volunteers, the event was a great success.

Over the past ten years, HHF has made significant strides in fulfilling the practical support needs of NICU families so they can focus on helping their babies get better. In 2008, HHF provided financial assistance to 83 NICU families at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Westchester County, New York. Paying for necessities such as hotel stays, meals, gas cards, and hospital parking helped to alleviate parental stress and gave parents more opportunities to be at their baby’s bedside engaged in their care, which research shows can have a positive impact on their babies’ health. As the demand for support and the needs of NICU families grew, HHF responded by expanding its programs and reach to three other area hospitals.

Today, HHF is a network of support for families with various programs and initiatives offering financial, emotional and educational support focused on empowering parents and improving family-centered care in the NICU. Thanks to the incredible generosity of its contributors, HHF has raised over $2.2 million and supported 5,500 families.
