$1 MILLION MILESTONE FOR
HAILEY’S HOPE FOUNDATION
Goshen, NY—September 13, 2014 – Hailey’s Hope Foundation (HHF) was proud to celebrate its $1 million-dollar milestone with supporters at its 6th Annual BBQ Bash on Saturday, September 6th at Palacio Catering in Goshen. It was a fun-filled, memorable evening. Guest speaker, Jennifer Degl, an HHF NICU mom, moved the crowd with her heartfelt story of her daughter’s micro-preemie birth and NICU journey. Since December 2007, Hailey’s Hope Foundation has worked hard to support families with premature and critically ill babies hospitalized in New York area NICUs (Neonatal ICUs). Through the generosity of individual and corporate donors, HHF has raised over $1 million dollars. These funds have been used to provide financial support and care packages to over 3,500 NICU families, state-of the art equipment for NICUs, and establish its first in-hospital NICU resource room. Currently its programs are implemented in NICUs at Orange Regional Medical Center (Middletown), Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (Valhalla), Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital (Manhattan) and the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center (Albany). “It’s amazing what Hailey’s Hope Foundation is doing for NICU families,” says Theresa Conte, Nursing Service Administrator Women and Children at Orange Regional Medical Center. “They know what these families need and go to great lengths to help.”
“It’s unfortunate that many families and babies have to experience the NICU,” says Jeffrey Randazzo, President of Hailey’s Hope Foundation. “It’s not part of the family plan. But with the right support, we can help families get through it and their babies get better. Thank you to all of our wonderful supporters who make that possible. We couldn’t do it without you.”
